Three WSSU players earn first team honors

HAMPTON, VA – After leading the team to a stellar 8-2 season, four Winston-Salem State University Rams were named to the 2010 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association All-Conference team, Wednesday afternoon. The Rams honorees featured an even split between offense and defense as two offensive players and two defensive players earned All-CIAA honors.

Headlining the first team was the WSSU trio of senior offensive lineman Travis Taylor, senior defensive lineman Juan Corders, and redshirt-junior running back Nicholas Cooper while junior defensive back Alton Keaton earned second team honors.

Taylor and Cooper powered the Rams to a stellar offensive effort with 3,713 yards of total offense and 38.3 points per game.
