NCAA Football Selection Show to be Televised on ESPNEWS  Ben Baxter

The NCAA Division II Football Selection Show will be televised Sunday, November 14th on ESPN News at 3 p.m. (EST). The selection show will reveal the 24 teams headed to the NCAA Division II Playoffs, made up of the top six teams from each Super Region.

Several teams from the SIAC will be closely watching Sunday’s show including Morehouse and Fort Valley State. The Maroon Tigers are currently ranked No. 6 in the NCAA Super Region Two while the Wildcats are ranked No. 7. Both teams finished with an 8-2 overall record, 7-2 in the SIAC.

Conference champion Albany State, who currently ranks No. 1 in the region, will more than likely remain in the top spot in the final poll. The Golden Rams would have a bye in the first round of the playoffs and would host a second round game on November 27th if they remain No. 1, or No.2, in the region.

In anticipation of their possible playoff berths both Morehouse and Fort Valley State will host selection show viewing parties on their respective campuses. The FVSU viewing party will be held in Wildcat Stadium at 1 p.m. with music, games, trivia contests, and much more. The Morehouse viewing party, which begins at 2:30 p.m., will be held on campus at the Welcome Center.

Events will be followed by the live feed of the selections from the four super regions starting at 3 p.m.
